What're your questions for the world?

EXTRA INFO ABOUT THE SITE:

Hey! This blog is about asking questions that're on my mind or that people may ask me. These are not little questions really and they can have multiple answers so feel free to answer them as you see fit. The whole point of the site is to have people think about the world and the way things are. If you don't agree with something I've said tell me why with a comment (you have to have a google account), but please don't use that as a way to be obnoxious. Everything is pretty much up in the air when it comes to what you think and how you feel about something so I can't really set down any guidelines other than don't be too judgmental of another comment or of something I may have said.

Stay open-minded and hear people out. =]

Hope you enjoy and don't criticize what I'm trying to say too harshly. Although of course I'm open to criticism and debates. =]

Also...Email me @: tomiahayes@yahoo.com if you have a question you'd like to have posted on the site. Remember they have to be versatile and have many possible answers and they can't be...child-ish.

Why: Do People Think When People Die They're In A Better Place When Really They're Away From The People They Love? (Asked By Anonymous)

"I See Life As A Gift From God.
Now That He Wants It Back I See No Right To Complain"
-Joyce Cary

Life I believe is a gift. A gift that isn't suppose to be just given back (suicide) or taken back by force (murder) it's suppose to be...surrendered. People die because of many reasons. From sickness to natural causes.  When someone dies, people all say "Well now at least they're in a better place," is it because they are  trying to hide the pain they're in or do they genuinely believe that?
When someone's dying I don't believe they're all too worried about the people they're leaving behind here...Especially religious people who believe they're going to Heaven. They'll be HAPPY to surrender their life back to God (or whatever higher power they believe in). I also think it's kind of selfish of the people they were close to, to think that they should still be alive. I'm not saying I haven't done that (I have), but I've come to realize...Being alive here on Earth isn't a walk in the park. If they get to escape this place, then we should be happy, no matter if you're religious or not, this is a good practice.
I don't know if there's an "After Life" but I do know that life itself is complicated, tiring, pain inflicting, saddening, maddening, etc and with all those jumble of emotions, why not embrace death when it calls you? You'll be at PEACE....Helloooo "REST IN PEACE". So who knows if someone is going to a better place? But what right do we have to say they should still be with us?
Those are just my thoughts...Why do you think?

Why: Question The World?

First off, if scientists can do it why can't I? I mean, we all have questions obviously, questions that hold out attention a lot more than others, so why not have them broadcast and let other people mull them over as well? Questioning the world is pretty much what we've be doing for a long time. That's all we humans do. We question everything that goes on around us.
Now, I'd just like to say...According to the Bible, we were suppose to be a blind people (well technically) and if it weren't for the whole "Eve you just screwed all of women with pregnancy pains" thing aka the apple from the garden, we probably wouldn't ask questions. How that would work...I wouldn't know. If we didn't question everything little thing would the world run smoother? I don't know. All I know is that because we aren't blind we ask questions about everything.
Also, if it weren't for questions we wouldn't have any answers. We wouldn't know anything about ourselves or other people. We wouldn't be able to debate, you know prove right and wrong. So why not question the world? Why not question everything? Just because we question them doesn't mean they're wrong
But why do you question the world?

What: IS The Box? (Asked By Meghan)

"Think Outside The Box!"

What is the box?...We grow up all our lives with teachers who tell us that thinking out of the box is what we need to do, thinking out of the box is what everyone needs to do. So if everyone is thinking outside the box, doesn't mean that everyone is still thinking the same way? Which means, we're never really escaping the box. At least, we didn't escape when we wrote all of those essays throughout the years.
"Think outside the box!" is a nice way of saying: "You're smarter than that stop thinking like the (for the lack of a better word) dumb people." In my opinion though...If you're telling so many people throughout the world to out think one box...Aren't you putting them into another? Can we really escape a box if we're just being placed into a slightly larger one? Or is it slightly smaller? If it's smaller then we're all never thinking outside of anything now are we? Some people might say that I thought out of the box when making this blog site, but did I really? Or did I just enter a new level of boxness (yes, I did just make up that word).
The box is...the box is the normal way of doing things. The box is what everyone else seems to do. The box is the minimum amount of effort that we have to put into things. The box is not standing out in a crowd. The box is just getting by. The box is the people who don't care enough to want to overachieve. Now don't get me wrong...I see nothing wrong with the box if working is not your thing! For other people being the best is all they want. Take my friend for example. His brain waves just might be align completely different with the rest of the world. The kid is absolutely one of the smartest people I know. He thinks out of the box so much he's made it to the 5th level. And that's okay. But that's not for everyone.
Okay, so I should put this disclaimer out there....I'm not trying to call anyone stupid, slow, or dumb. I'm just saying if inside the box is where you wanna be, then have it! If you're slowly making your way to different levels of other boxes, that's good for you! :)
Anyway, be you a box thinker, or an out of the box thinker, tell me in your own words...WHAT IS THE BOX?!
