What're your questions for the world?

EXTRA INFO ABOUT THE SITE:

Hey! This blog is about asking questions that're on my mind or that people may ask me. These are not little questions really and they can have multiple answers so feel free to answer them as you see fit. The whole point of the site is to have people think about the world and the way things are. If you don't agree with something I've said tell me why with a comment (you have to have a google account), but please don't use that as a way to be obnoxious. Everything is pretty much up in the air when it comes to what you think and how you feel about something so I can't really set down any guidelines other than don't be too judgmental of another comment or of something I may have said.

Stay open-minded and hear people out. =]

Hope you enjoy and don't criticize what I'm trying to say too harshly. Although of course I'm open to criticism and debates. =]

Also...Email me @: tomiahayes@yahoo.com if you have a question you'd like to have posted on the site. Remember they have to be versatile and have many possible answers and they can't be...child-ish.

(I'm An Atheist) Is: There Anyway I'm Not Screwed After I Die? (Asked By Connor)

So, that's an interesting question. I mean, a lot of people asked about the after life, but they weren't so blunt about being atheist, or any other specific religion. Personally, I can't say whether any of that is true or not, I mean, I'm not a super natural power that controls everything the world has to offer. I can say though, that if you don't believe in such things I don't see why you should worry about it.

A person who's atheist not only has the choice to convert to any religion they want, they also have the choice to ignore all religious preferences. I say, if you're atheist not to worry about it, unless you see a religion you would like to believe. I mean, there's not much else I can say.

In my mind, no you're not screwed, but hey what do I know?

Why: Do We Cry Tears?

Tears come with many different emotions.

Anger- When you're so mad at someone or something, and that rage causes you to produce tears that you don't want but get anyway.
Sadness- When you're hurting or possibly hurt someone else and that depression forms tears in your eyes that you can't control.
Joy- When you're happy to such an extreme that tears slide down your face without you even really realizing it.

My question is, why tears? Why does this watery fluid come from our eyes in these emotional states? I'm sure there's a scientific reason, but when you think about it, doesn't it seem like too much for tears to be everywhere?

Mostly, tears are taken as a sign of weakness, fear, and sadness, yet we cry when we're happy. What's up with that? We cry over everything. Are we as human beings suppose to be portrayed as such weak mammals? Do you see other animals crying without being in pain? And then when they do "cry" there aren't tears, there are just a lot of yelping. Why're we such an emotional species?

Maybe it's just me thinking that we should be stronger than this, or maybe it's just the fact that I watch too much "Animal Planet." Either way, this is my thinking on our tears. One day we're all gonna stop crying, we're gonna sick of it all, and we'll come away a stronger species. End of story.

       But hey, you tell me...Why?
